Dehydrated Onion Granules
The Dehydrated onion granule is a finer version of onion flakes, mainly used to dressing or garnishing the salads and prepared dishes to add the sweetish and nutty onion flavor. The onion granules are mostly utilized for a heightened taste of fruit salads, snacks, momos, and hot fast foods. It is also applied to baked or roasted food items and spicy soups for a pungent aromatic flavor of onion.
In many food items such as baked foods and soups, the large-sized onion flakes may not be suitable. Therefore, some finer alternatives are also provided, such as the chopped, minced, granular, and powdered form of dehydrated onion flakes. Among these, the onion granules are produced from the dry onion flakes. Here, the unwanted matters like plant roots and outer skin from the onion flakes are separated by the sorting process. Hence, the final dehydrated onion product is free from these impurities and is of the best possible quality. In the next step, it is further processed through the cutting machine. Lastly, it is processed through the Vibro table of 24-40 mesh, 40- 60 mesh, and 40-80 mesh size. Hence, three different sized dehydrated onion granules are produced as segregated by respective sized nets. These onion granules can also be manufactured by further processing the remains or byproducts of the chopped and minced dehydrated onions, which are also, in turn, produced from dry onion flakes.
Mainly three varieties of granulated onion are supplied by the Dudhat Export, and it is primarily based on the color of raw onion flakes, such as White Onion granules, Red Onion granules, and Pink Onion granules.
